Kiyoseki Flat iron is defective
|
May 13, 2008 Tristar products complaint by Madabouthair |
Page 1 of 2 The Kiyoseki Flat iron is a really good flat iron...until it breaks. The first flat iron I received did not even turn on. The replacement they sent me worked perfectly for about two or three months. All of a sudden,in the middle of my almost finished hair, the iron had an electrical short. That was the end of that. The good thing is that they are willing to send me my money as soon as I return the iron and the contents that were sent to me. This product is defective (as was demonstrated in my two flat irons.) Good-bye and good riddance Kiyoseki pro!

What is wrong is the voltage difference between Japan and US. My hairdryer from Japan got unnaturally hot and blew out within months of using in the US.
I wanted to bring a bunch of cute single-people house wares (mini counter-top dishwasher etc). from Japan but the sales person warned me that the electronics will blowout in the US because the voltage coming out of the walls are too high! He went on to say that American homes are inefficient no matter how hard we try because our old-fashioned and clunky electronics need too much to work properly...
a voltage converter that tones down the voltage will make the high-tech electronics work and last long.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience. . the first one broke in a week and the replacement also broke within one week. They both shot up the temperature (without hitting any buttons) and shorted out within one week. I am awaiting my refund. The second time I called to tell them it broke, the woman said she never heard of this problem before. . . . yet all these reviews say people are having problems with it shorting out. It did work great, when it was working properly. . . however, I would not buy and am praying they send me my refund as I do not trust this company at all.

I received my iron in just seven days.
I was so excited, I used it that day and my son was using it the next day and it just quit working. I've never
had anything that only lasted two days. I am very disappointed with this
product. I'm afraid to try another one.

I just got the Kiyoseki styler and I was really excited.
I tried it out and it worked awesomely!
...But....
As I continued...
I noticed that my hair was being burned off!
I Think its because of the placement of the temp. setter...Its right where My hands are when I'm styling and sometimes I guess my hand slips and the temp rises to like 410!....I think it was stupid to put the temp thing there on their part. Its a great styler but this is a major problem. It's suppose to PROTECT my hair, not BURN it.
