I highly recommend the professional flat irons sold on blasononline.com. They don't ever break down and come with a one year warranty. Not to mention the prices are unbeatable and they're the best quality out there. I love them so much that I'm now buying a second one. My first one was a ceramic iron and now I'm going to purchase their tourmaline one. They are pure ceramic plates unlike many others out there. It's a local secret which is why they have such great prices on superior quality. I bought my first one years ago and to this day I have not had any problems with it. All other irons out there are all hype and not quality. They're only popular because they advertise not because of workmanship.
